Heebie Jeebies Tesla’s Lamp Small
Product Details :
A perfect gift for teens and adults who love science and all things mesmerising
This iconic scientific lamp was originally created in 1894 by Nikola Tesla following his experiments with high voltage currents
The plasma ball demonstrated the properties of electrical charges which you can control with your fingers as you touch the lamp
The globe is a sphere that has most of its air replaced with 3 gases - neon, argon and xenon.
A high frequency alternating current electrode is in the centre, when it discharges, it excites the gases which create plasma filaments. When you touch the globe these filaments are attracted to the spot.
How to use it - Simply plug it into a USB port on your computer or adapter or put batteries into it and turn it on. Place your hand or finger on the globe, which will allow you to control the strongest and brightest filaments.
Diameter 7 cm
